Full disclosure: I am not an unbiased user!

First, I co-own my own tool, ClosetWitch. Though technically not a bot (it's an extension that takes bulk actions with user supervision, not something that runs constantly in the background), it's close enough that I have strong opinions on how bots should work.

That said, quite selfishly for my own research, I want to challenge some of my opinions about what's worth focusing on on Poshmark before poo-pooing certain features. Following and community sharing, for example, or that oddly specific 30 minute rule, are behaviors on Poshmark I've pretty much dismissed as unimportant at best, and a huge waste of time at their worst. But so many bots offer these functions automatically. I'm also curious about other tools' ways of laying out features, any extra benefits they have (scheduled functions? Oooh!), and of course, how friendly they are (cuteness and simplicity is very important to me).

So, with all that said, I'll be testing out free trials of every bot I can get my hands on for one week.

Some ground rules: to test effectiveness of functions like following and community sharing, I'll be keeping my listing and sharing activity as standard as I can, so as not to give one bot an advantage over another.

Parameters:

Usefulness of functions: ie. whether the offered functions make a difference in sales, closet traffic, or efficiency.

Pricing vs. value generated: ie. is the investment worth it for the potential growth of your business, time savings, or sales generated.

Ease of use: do you need a manual to use the bot or is it fairly intuitive?

Delight: is it enjoyable to use? Do I want this as part of my daily life?

And finally: ClosetWitch vs. X Brand of Bot: how does our extension match up to the tool I'm testing? I intend to be as realistic as possible about this, because surely our tool isn't a perfect match for all poshers, and I'm hoping to uncover some areas we can build out more.

So with all that, here is the list of tools I'm taking on testing. As I complete my write up at the end of the week, I'll come back and link the posts here. Check back soon to learn about my experiences and which tools make the grade.
